CSR Award Ceremony 2012 was held on March 30th 2013 in Hanoi. This is aimed at honoring and praising enterprises which have integrated their corporate social responsibility into their operations and gain excellent results on two criteria sectors of labor and environment in the years 2010-2012.
Among thousands of domestic enterprises, the organizing committee chose 41 finalist enterprises to receive the award in two criteria of labor and environment. MACDI signed up for the first time to be candidate in the environmental field and has won this prestigious award right the first time on stage. CSR Award 2012 was held at National Conference Center (Me Tri – TuLiem – Hanoi) and was live broadcasted on VTV1 channel, Vietnam television on Saturday morning, March 30,2013.
Together with Macdi, other prestigious enterprises have won this award such as FPT Software, Unilever Vietnam and TRAPHACO.
The first prizes have been gained by Tin Nghia Corporation (labor field) and Chang Shin Vietnam (environment field).
The second prizes have been gained by Hoa Tho Textile Corporation and Phong Phu International Company(labor field), and Intel Product Vietnam and Unilever Vietnam (environment field).
According to the Secretariat Coordinator of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) , PhanTruong Thang, the organizing committee’s member, MACDI has won the award at the first time it participated because it has made a considerable contribution to environment improvement.
Held every three years, this is the 5th time the award has been launched. Director of FPT Ho Chi Minh, Truong Thanh Thanh, also said: “This is a significant award.” Mrs. Dinh Thi Minh Thai, Headmaster of MACDI said this was a very important award in the sustainable development of Vietnam in general and the development of MACDI in particular, and MACDI was very honored and proud to have been named with this meaningful CSR award.
CSR Award 2012 is jointly launched by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in collaboration with of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development to honor and praise enterprises which have integrated their corporate social responsibility into their operations and gain excellent results on two criteria sectors of labor and environment in the years 2010-2012.
