Baseline Survey On The Socio-Economic Situation And Climate Change Related Issues In Nghe An Province, Under The Project “Innovative Financing For Building Community Resilience To Climate Change In Coastal Viet Nam”.

Objective:

Before the implementation of the project, it is necessary to conduct a baseline study to collect general information of the  project areas. The baseline data will facilitate the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) process to find out whether the program implementation meets the set target and if it would bring about expected outcome to the beneficiaries. The general objective is to define baseline conditions of Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province for measuring progress and contribute towards SNV with regard to particular interventions in Nghe An province.

Main activities performed:

  • To select the most suitable communes/wards for the project intervention.
  • To collect information that can be used as baseline data related to the objectives as well as the expected outcomes and outputs of the project.
  • General information about socio-economic conditions, climate change issues;
  • Actual situation of local natural disaster prevention, DRR at commune, infrastructure, local participation;
  • Agricultural and non-agricultural production, labor, co-operative, production group, interest group;
  • Identify field staff during conducting baseline survey.
